Where Learning is Fun

Rainbow Learning Centre (RLC) is a project of PADA that supports adults with intellectual disabilities. RLC trains adults with intellectual disabilities develop life skills and become as independent as possible. Each student has an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) based on their own capabilities, goals and strengths.

CURRICULUM The Rainbow Learning Centre curriculum is centered around .the following aspects:

☞  Prayer and Yoga
☞  Physical Exercises
☞  Developing basic computer skills
☞  Understanding the concept of money and shopping
☞  Basic usage of mobile phone
☞  Solving simple puzzles
☞  Dance, Music and Drama
☞  Games
☞  Drawing, Art and craft
☞  Developing basic cooking skills
☞  Self-grooming
☞  Hospitality and Housekeeping
☞  Visiting parks, museums and other events to improve social interactions

Since June 2020, video-call based classes (via Google Meet) are held. Paper-based worksheets are posted to every student, which is to be completed during the classes with the assistance of a parent or an elder. The worksheets are designed as per the needs and capabilities of each student.
The online classes have been successful in the development and engagement of students. This two hour program will continue even after pandemic.
